About Me/Reason for Joining the GEC:
I live in Miami, which we call "the capital of Latin America." Within a mile of my house in Coral Gables, there are 250 Latin American headquarters. We are a global community, and children here "know global worlds" far more than where I grew up in Lawrence, KS. Both of my children earned IB diplomas. I'm always interested in meeting others who share interest and passion for a wider view of education and of the world!

Students Without Borders: Online Communication Facilitates Global Collaboration

A team of very smart teenagers has set out to discover ways that maggots might make the world a better place. Two are from Loudoun County. Two live more than 9,000 miles away in Singapore.
