Hi Lisa,
I know some teachers in different countries that may be interested in joining your discussions. They are not active on this site so how can they reach you if they want to participate?
Thanks,
Anna
My co-teacher, Christine, and I run a fifth grade (10 year olds) global awareness club after school. Our goal is to expand the horizons of our students, getting them to understand that, as world citizens, they have an obligation and responsibility...
I teach fifth grade in a collaborative model..full time regular ed (me) and full time special ed teachers together. I am a member of my district's Foreign Policy Committee and a member of our staff development committee, whose focus for next year is Global Awareness.
My co-teacher and I won a Cablevision PowertoLearn grant last year and, with the grant money, purchased a webcam, digital recorders, and other fun collaborative equipment. We love using our new tools to collaborate with other classrooms around the globe! In fact, we have won two more global collaboration awards since.
