About Me/Reason for Joining the GEC:
I have been involved in international collaboration for teachers and students for 20 years. I think teachers and students need to learn from the world, not about the world. I am currently the professional development coordinator for iEARN-USA. I have been a coordinating teacher for technology integration and Media coordinator in North Carolina, and worked in an international school partnership program with the NC Center for International Understanding of The Uninversity of North Carolina.

I had an email from Richard Boyum that he had read the article and wanted a website link to Kids Can Make a Difference. It was nice to hear from him!
Deb finally contacted me and I am going to do a one day workshop on Cross-Cultural Collaboration in January. I will be sharing many resources, including iEARN.
I shared the project books with a teacher friend at Dearborn Schools and a service-learning coordinator in Lowell. I'll be meeting with both of them later this month, and I'll talk with them more about getting their teachers involved.

It's incredible how I came to this network of educators. I simply wrote Global Educators ( Educadores Globais - the name we chose to our NGO in Brazil) in Google and there they are. Then, I met you and Ed here. It's awsome to be about funding our group down here.
