We need to inculcate in the minds of young learners that all human beings need love for humanity and peace in society for progress and development in all spheres of life e.g. for economic . educational, political, and social development . All human beings and all societies need peace and peace cannot be achieved without tolerance in all individuals and in society too. Hence it is in the interest of all human beings to be tolerant and not biased in religion or language or caste ,creed and colour or geographical boundaries.

Every culture experiences hate language, threats, vandalism, civil rights violation, religious bias and intolerant dialogue. Words are sometimes used as weapons instead of ways to communicate. But we have the power to make our voice be heard and change the world! We must recognize the seeds of hate so we don't repeat history. No one is too young or weak to make a difference!

This round of Rock Our World is going to follow a Challenge Based Learning model.
Our big idea is: "The highest form of tolerance is education." -Helen Keller
Essential Question: How do we develop tolerance in the hearts of children all over the world?
The Challenge: Inspire students to be tolerant of each other and other cultures.

I hope you can apply with your class! www.tinyurl.com/rockourworld

* This round of Rock Our World will be filmed for a documentary slated for mid 2010. Make sure you fill out the application carefully, and send in your release forms! :)
