My fifth grade students are creating a wiki about "conditions" in the world today. This project began with reading David J. Smith's "If the World Were a Village" book. We incorporated math with spreadsheets and graphing. Now they are researching information about world religions, nationalities, population, amount of resources, education, and other categories they've decided upon. They are excited, curious, amazed, and outraged about inequities. It will be interesting to see what ideas they come up with.

How is the Global Village project going? I am quite intrigued with how you are able to teach nationalities, religions, resources, education, AND math in this unique context!
